Manor History

Inhan Kartano was built in 1896 by a Swedish railway magnate as a summer villa for his wife. In the past, a private railway once ran directly into the manor’s courtyard along the linden tree avenue — which still remains today as a reminder of that era. Over the years, the manor has served as a residence for many influential people. Later, it was used as a school and a venue for celebrations, and most recently as a home for ordinary families.

Now you have the opportunity to stay in this historic building! Accommodation is offered in three separate apartments, each with its own entrance and a sauna. A lakeside sauna is available for all guests. You can swim directly from several spots along the shore — and in winter, there’s the possibility of an ice hole for a refreshing dip.

The spacious yard offers plenty of room for games and activities. From every window of the manor, you can enjoy beautiful lake views, and in spring you may even spot swans swimming just below. Two of the apartments also feature a fireplace that adds a warm and cozy atmosphere.
